Love all of God’s

🔆 ‘Love all of God’s creation, says Elder Zosima in Dostoyevsky’s novel “The Brothers Karamazov”: Love all of God’s creation, both the whole and every grain of sand. Love every leaf, every ray of God. Love animals, love plants, love every thing. If you love every thing, you will perceive the mystery of God in things.

This “mystery of God” of which Elder Zosima speaks is nothing other than interdependence, the inseparable interconnectedness of all creation in God the Creator.

For all is like an ocean, everything flows and touches. Touch it in one place, and it echoes at the other end of the world.
